DL380 GEN9 - RAID migration - how to...
Hi there.
On servers starting from Gen6, Gen7, Gen8 I was able to shut down, then pull the complete set auf disks out and put to (almost) any ProLiant server with the same or newer HP RAID controller.
We have Gen9 now, and even I move the disks only from a cage attached on P440ar to a cage attached on P440 inside the same machine, the RAiD is not being recognized.
What´s going wrong here?

Re: DL380 GEN9 - RAID migration - how to...
HP ProLiant servers introduced stricter RAID metadata and compatibility checks. When moving disks, the RAID controller might not automatically recognize the RAID configuration, especially between different models or setups. It's essential to ensure both source and destination RAID controllers have the latest firmware. If the issue persists, you might need to manually import the RAID configuration through the RAID controller's management interface. Always backup data before making such changes.

Thanks for your hints.
However I wonder that I'd never any issue with moving the RAID since I switched to Gen9. and even under Gen9 between two compatible models, I cannot "move" the disks.
