External Storage System Fan Failure

Hi,

I have DL580 G2 Server and it is giving following errors in logs continuously: (see attached)

External Storage System Fan Failure (Slot 4, Fan 1, Location Storage)

External Storage System Power Supply: General Failure (Slot 4, Power Supply 1)
=============================================

It is clear that Power Supply need replacement, but i am confused about fan, is it power supply fan, or other fan.

Please help me.

Hi Farooq,

you did wrong diagnose.
Problem is in power supplyon storage device connected to your DL580 G2 server via controller in slot 4.
So, you probably have fan failed status on that power supply.
Check if you can replace only fan, or you must order new power supply.

Sorry for such a late reply.

I have replaced the fan of external storage, and now it is working fine.
