Hi
i have a dl380 g7 and i want to be able to use the sc slot as a normal card reader. when the windows is booted up and i insert the card, everything works perfectly, but after reboot the system recognizes the sdcard as drive c and tries to boot it and since there is no os, it wonk boot.
is there anyway to bypass the sdcard in boot?
ps. its my first server, i appreciate the simplicity of answers in advance.

Solution
Hi,
You may disable the Internal SD Card :
Enabling or disabling the Internal SD Card Slot
- From the System Utilities screen, select System Configuration > BIOS/Platform Configuration (RBSU) > System Options > USB Options > Internal SD Card Slot and press Enter.
- Select a setting and press Enter:
- Enabled—The server can access the internal SD card slot.
- Disabled—The server cannot access the internal SD card slot.
- Press F10.
Also change the Boot Order referring the Page Nm 75.

Try and let me know if it worked.
Thank you

Re: how to prevent boot from sd card
Hi,
Great! Thanks for confirming.
Dsiabling the Card will disable the Internal USB function / Port.
Other Port should function normally.
Would suggest not to alter any if all the Ports are working as requried.
Thank you
