Hi,
I am trying to upgrade memory of a DL580 Gen7 which has 2CPU and 2 memory cartridges.
I'm trying to remove all existing DIMMs and install 2 identical 16GB DIMMs in order to have a maximum of 32GB.
I have tried all kinds of combinations (cartriges and DIMMS) but every time I boot the system I receive one single long beep and a solid red light (health check LED).
Using the old DIMMS (which are 2GB each) works fine and the system boots up fine.
I'm confident the spare parts (the new DIMMs) that I'm trying to install are compatible with DL580 Gen7.
Can someone assist me on this?
Thanks
