Hi

I'm searching for the latest firmware but can only find dead links

Should be the right firmware but there is no way to download it, anyone have any ideas?

I have tried the Linux version of the firmware and the switch does not accept it saying it is not compatible.

Please cross check the Switch model and / or Part number.

Can you tell, Why do you want to update Switch FW, are there any issues with existing firmware on the switch?

Hereby the P/N.
HP IP Console viewer does see it as an IP Console Switch 2x1x16 as well
Reason for it, personal preference to have stuff up to date (the update isn't made for no reason) and issues connecting with the serial console (which seems to be a thing for these, both HP and DELL branded switches has more than a couple people with issues trying to connect to it)

After a long search I found the firmware file!!
Just went ahead and bruteforce downloaded every file in there till I got it,
ftp://ftp.hp.com/pub/softlib2/software1/pubsw-windows/p1421280099/v43360/SP33829.EXE
That will be V1.0.19.1, in my original link it talks about the latest being V1.3.25.0 but I had to use an archived compaq FTP to find this since currently I can not access the HP ftp site so it might have a later version under the P1421280099 folder, if the link doesn't work anyone who needs the Firmware at least has an SP number to go by.

I have not found the latest version since then and I see that the HP FTP still isn't accessible.
Unless HP puts effort into any of this I doubt we can find it, seems their solution to the file no longer being there was to just remove the page talking about it.
To even get the older file, I had to jump hoops through the wayback machine to find the original download site for a number and then just mass download the directory from an archived Compaq FTP

Best bet would be to see if you can find an archived HP FTP.

And to HP, this really shouldn't be this hard, if I'm correct the exact same switch is the DELL Poweredge 4161DS and it sure ain't that hard to find the Firmware there.
