HP SmartSTart hangs at this screen upon booting... Help?

HP SmartSTart hangs at this screen upon booting... Help?

Trying to boot my DL380 G6 with the SmartSTart 8.70-B and it hangs at this screen: (please see attachment)

 

Anyone have any ideas?

Hi,

 

The hang may happen for few reasons, here are some workarounds:

 

  • Check if the CD/DVD or ISO image is good.
  • Remove any USB devices that are connected to the server except KB and Mouse.
  • Remove any HBA cards if installed.
  • Remove any third party PCI cards if installed.
  • Clear NVRAM from System Maintenance Switch.

Good morning Suman, and thanks for the reply!

 

  • I checked the ISO, and it is good.
  • I removed all USB devices except keyboard and mouse
  • I removed the HBA card for the CACHE (512MB)
  • I removed the PCI expansion card
  • I cleared the NVRAM via the #6 maintenance switch.

I am still getting the same result. I have also tried other versions of the SmartStart CD, but no luck. They all seem to hang at the same screen.

 

What else can I try?
