Query: HPE ProLiant DL180 Gen10 Shut Down Suddenly

Hi there,

My HP ProLiant DL180 Gen10 with OS Windows Server 2012 R2 Standard.. Experience sudden shutdown. I did the followings and the problem still arise:

1- Change the power supply.

2- Change the power outlet.

After shut down, my server restarted. But after about 2 hours later the server suddenly shut down again. I use all Redundant PSUs and the status in iLO is noted to be in good condition. The condition of the UPS used is also in good condition because the other servers are safe. Only 1 server shut down suddenly.

Did you check the IML log, maybe this server is getting to hot and shut down becaus of fans not working?

Hi,

If you see the BIOS revision history, there are some bug fixes for server shutdown or restart.  Please have a look and if required, update the firmware.
