ILo not accepting connection on https port
Hello team,
I am encountering a strange behavior when trying to access the iLO GUI, either directly through a web browser or via the Onboard Administrator (OA).
Symptoms:
- Ping to the iLO IP addresses always works.
- The iLO GUI stops responding intermittently and becomes accessible again only after resetting the server. However, access is lost again after a few minutes.
- SSH access fails with the error "Permission Denied" when using the Administrator password. This issue is also resolved temporarily after a server reset.
- The issue is occurring for all 10 servers in the enclosure c7000. There are servers of model BL460c Gen8 and Gen10.
Troubleshooting Steps Taken:
- Upgraded iLO and OA firmware to the latest versions.
- Added a firewall rule to allow unrestricted connections to port 443.
- Verified that the date and time of the servers and iLO are synchronized.
- Confirmed that there are no error messages in the Integrated Management Log (IML) and in the iLO events.
Additional Observations:
- If the iLO of any server is reset, the OA fails to configure its IP address, showing iLO IP: 0.0.0.0 until the server is rebooted.
- Using PowerShell’s Test-NetConnection command on the iLO IP during GUI unavailability returns TcpTestSucceeded: False. When accessible, the result is TcpTestSucceeded: True.
- The Windows troubleshooter reports: "The URL you are trying to reach is not set up to accept connections on port 'https'."
- What additional checks or actions can I perform to resolve this issue?
Thank you!

Re: Query: ILo not accepting connection on https port
Despite having an iLO USB connection, how does it help with remote access?
Regarding the iLO link you sent, the credentials are correct, and no information has been entered incorrectly.
