Installation of multiple PCI Modems
I am trying to install 3 internal PCI Compaq V90 Lucent Win Modems into a DL380 for use as Citrix Metaframe XP dial up server. I can successfully install one modem but the second and third modems fail to start. In device manager I get the following messages for the 2nd and 3rd modems "this device cannot start (Code 10)" when trying to view the resources i get the following message "This device is not using any resources because it has a problem". Re installation of the drivers has not helped. At the momment I have not yet installed metaframeXP or Term Services, just vanilla WIN2KServerSP2.
Is it possible to use multiple modems in this server?
I have a sneaky suspicion that they will not work because they are Win modems and therefore use CPU power to compress/uncompress the data.
Any ideas gratefully received.
Regards,
Graham

Re: Installation of multiple PCI Modems
Hi, there are two ports active on most of the servers. Make sure the bios an dthe SCU utility has been updated. That might help.
