Installation Windows 2000 with Smart Array Controller

Hi,
System Configuration: Compaq ProLiant ML370 with 640MB RAM, 5 Harddrives SCSI 18,2GB Wide Ultra-2, Smart Array Controller, 1 logical drive with 50GB and 1 drive as standby-HDD.
I read the FAQ?s and find the following problem.
It is not possible to install WIN2000, if the drive space is larger than 4 Gig.
I need the 50GB for Oracle. How do I install WIN2000?

Thanks Weimar

Re: Installation Windows 2000 with Smart Array Controller

The 4 GB limit is for the C:\drive only, therefore, go ahead and complete the installation of Windows 2000, then, use Windows 2000 Disk Manager to configure the other space.

Compaq SmartStart 5.0 corrects this problem. You should be able to use the entire 50GB as the system partition.
