I'm about to install Win2k server on a new HP Proliant ML350 Raid 5 and want to know with Raid 5 if I can create a multiple partitions config that will be fine if we need to replace a disk. I want Win2k on one partition and data on another but I'm not sure if Raid 5 fault tolerance will hadle it well if a disk crashes and need to be replace.
Thanks

SolutionWhen you have a drive failure with this type of config all you should have to do is get a replacement, pull the failed one out, put the replacement in, and voila - it's rebuilding. That's one of the good things about the SA controllers. There is no need to tell it to rebuild or anything.
