Keyboard
We assembled a Compaq 1600 I server in a rack alongwith another server. We used Compaq KVM switch to share the Keyboard, Monitor and Mouse. In one server, the keyboard is not functioning after booting in TN 4.0. We are unable to key in any input when we get the login screen. But if I connect a keyboard directly (not through the KVM switch), I could key in inputs. What could be the problem ? We tried changing the KVM switch and the cables. No positive result.

Re: Keyboard
Having a similar problem myself. I believe my Belkin 4-port Omnicube may have wasted the system expansion board. Getting a "304-Keyboard or System error" at POST and the mouse intermittantly did not work. It gradually went from bad to worse and eventually nothing works even plugged directly into ports.

Re: Keyboard
Same problem here. I have 4 proliant 1600 servers on Cybex Autoview 200 KVM switch and only ONE server experiences the problem. I will lose the keyboard. The cable has been switched and the I tried plug into different ports. It just that one server. It will work most of the time but the keyboard will die once in a while. Mouse still works though. I haven't been able to find any answer to this issue.

Re: Keyboard
I have the same problem. The KVM is an NIT STU-8. I finally removed it from the switch. I have found with some other servers that hitting system request sometimes brings the keyboard back.
