NIC agent failover

All of a sudden the NIC agent has been detecting a bad port in the team and has been failing over the NIC constently. As you can guess this is causing some issues with the Switch. I was wondering if anyone had this problem before with a NIC or the Agent software? My switch says that everything is fine with the cabeling and the connectino, so I am assuming it is the NIC itself and will be replacing. However, I have noticed the failover time is significant enough to cause SMB issues on my network. All Linux boxs with an SMB mount to that server loose connectivity.

I would say it probably is the NIC. Have you taken care of this by now?

I experienced a similar behavior. To "fix" it, I increased the heartbeat timer interval to the arbitrarily higher value of 15000 from the default of 3000.
