NIC Driver
NT 4.0 Server install sees the built in NIC as an Intel 82557-based adaptor - when Networking starts, the computer does not see the rest of my network. Should it?
I downloaded Compaq LAN drivers for NT - when NT is told to use this driver - NT bluescreens.
My next solution (to try next week) is to install a more vanilla lan card and try to proceed...
What do you suppose is happening here?

Re: NIC Driver
My server auto detect 2 NIC, 1) Intel 82557 and 2) Compaq Netelligent. Funny thing is, there's only 1 server NIC in the server. Why the smartstart would detect 2 NIC, this really puzzle me on the plug&play feature in this server board. Anyway, I just tick the compaq nic and it install using the smartstart cd nic driver
