ProLiant MicroServer Gen8 Dynamic disks not showing up on perfmon
hi
did a bit of googling but haven't come across a solution so far.
have a ProLiant MicroServer Gen8 which was running on RAID (B120i) that i've change to ACHI mode. everything worked fine at that point. intention was to change to dynamic disks and then do software raid.
when checking the windows server 2016 resource monitor it doesn't show the logical or phisical disk under the storage section. i can see it on task manager. seems this only happend when going to dynamic disks. tested this on another old proliant we have with the exact same results.
can anyone advise how to resolve this
thanks

Re: Query: ProLiant MicroServer Gen8 Dynamic disks not showing up on perfmon
Hello,
If the controller mode is set to AHCI, the controller will not be seen in ACU. However the individual disks will be in the OS.
But if it is set to Dynamic RAID, you will be able to configure Hardware RAID and same will be visible in the OS.

It depends in which mode the OS was installed.. If it was installed in AHCI and later changed to RAID mode, or vice Versa , then we might expect some issues.
You can try installing in a single mode and then check.
Also if it is just at the OS level, i would recommend to get some insights from the OS team.
Thanks,
TAM
