After having installed the drivers, the embedded network interface doesn't work most of the time. Starting device manager doesn't work (hang).
Sometimes the server unexpectedly reboot.
I have restarted installation 3 times to come to the conclusion that it is the chipset driver causing that trouble. I will reinstall SBS2008 once more, without installing the chipset driver.
The website has only one version available for the chipset drive (v9.00.1008 dated (18 dec 2008). Is it a known problem ?

Re: Proliant ML150 G5 chipset driver makes Windows SBS 2008 unstable
Thanks for your fast response !
I wonder why this update is not available from HP website. I fear that this version has not been certified by HP. What do you think ?

Re: Proliant ML150 G5 chipset driver makes Windows SBS 2008 unstable
I will give it a try. But one last question before proceeding: I don't see any mention on the website that those drivers are 64 bits (As you probably know SBS 2008 is an x64 OS).
Thanks,

Re: Proliant ML150 G5 chipset driver makes Windows SBS 2008 unstable
how to find out supporting OS???? as easy as get the file and check what it supports
Microsoft Windows* Server 2003
Microsoft Windows Server 2003 x64 Edition*
Microsoft Windows Server 2008
Microsoft Windows Server 2008 x64 Edition
Microsoft Windows XP
Microsoft Windows XP Professional x64 Edition
Microsoft Windows 2000
Microsoft Windows Vista
Microsoft Windows Vista x64 Edition
and maybe you are going to say it does not say W2008 SBS but trust me
HP for instance does not make any difference when creating a driver for W2008 x64 normal edition and SBS edition so as well as Intel
just take a look any driver shared between W2008 x64 and SBS they are the same
bye
going to bed

This seems to work correcty. The server is running without any problem for about 4 hours now. Should any problem surface, I will come here again.
Thanks a lot for your help.
