Proliant ML6500 disk/array
W2K system event log shows the following error: the device, \Device\Harddisk2\DR2 is not ready yet.It has an Event ID 15.
Memory info is
0000 0f 00 18 00 01 00 72 00
0008 00 00 00 00 0f 00 04 c0
0010 04 01 00 00 9d 00 00 c0
0018 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00
0020 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00
0028 00 00 00 00 01 00 00 00
0030 00 00 00 00 25 00 00 00
0038 00 0a 00 00 00 00 00 00
The harddisk may be Harddisk1,
harddisk2, or Harddisk3. Random errors happening several times a day. No listings in Compaq IML viewer.
Appears this may be W2K related and not a hardware issue. I won't get machine for hardware testing until 5/14/03. Does not appear to be affecting users.
There are 3 Smart Array 3200's in this machine with 2 external U2 storage system backplanes.
Thanks for any ideas....

Re: Proliant ML6500 disk/array
Hello David,
The HDD2 should be No3 'cos it starts from Disk 0. You may also need to update the firmware ver of 3200 controllers. Here is the link to update:
http://h18007.www1.hp.com/support/files/server/us/download/14694.html
Even though you would be asked to make four diskettes but just make the very first one 'cos that's all you need.
Regards,
