i've got here an older ML370 Tower on which i've installed a Debian (c't) server. A co-worker informed me that there would be something called "ProLiant Support Pack" or so, which would enable to reduce fan rotation according to actual server load (fans are always running at full speed by now).
Ist there a possibility to download a Debian (.deb) package of this Support Pack? I've only found rpm packages for RedHat and SuSE.
Thanks in advance
Rainer

Re: Proliant Support Pack for Debian?
Here's the link for the downloads available for this server:
http://h18023.www1.hp.com/support/files/server/us/family/model/1119.html?lang=en&cc=us
Unfortunately, I didn't see anything for Debian. The ProLiant Support Pack (PSP) contains the most recent drivers and Insight Management agents for a particular chassis/OS.
The problem you describe with fans is listed below, but there is no RBSU for the 1st generation ML370. If this is a G2 or later member of the ML370 family, you should be able to use the instructions below to lower the fan speed:

Re: Proliant Support Pack for Debian?
That really helped alot. Installed the hpasm rpm's via alien and all worked just fine! Fans are running nice and _quiet_ now!

Re: Proliant Support Pack for Debian?
Hello,
We are using HPE GEN SERVER-PROLIANT DL380 GEN9 and GEN SERVER- DL360 GEN10 with raid 1 and raid 10 configuration through intelligent provisioning till Debian 10 we did not face any issue but now switch from Debian 10 to 11 we are facing the issue that raid 1 and raid 10 logical drive label are changing frequently so we are getting boot issue and not able to login.
Note through intelligent provisioning raid 1 as primary and raid logical drive as secondary are defined still its not working fine as expected .
