Query: ram compatibility with my HP Proliant DL380p Gen8 - Prolaint server - DL380p Gen8

ram compatibility with my HP Proliant DL380p Gen8

ive recently just moved to a HP Proliant DL380p Gen8 and it has the worst cnfiguration of ram possible, however i do  have a friend who has  a 512gb kit of 32 GB DDR3-8500R SK Hynix Server RAM Sticks, they are 1066 mhz RDIMM PC3L-8500R. will they work/post on my server? i know they arent hp branded but they are 1066mhz and rdimm which are listed as compatable on hp's website.

Hi,

Non-HPE DIMM may work may not work.
Please refer to the server QuickSpecs for DIMM compatibility.  Page# 04 and 58
