SCSI Cable Error on boot up

Hi, I'm getting the following error during boot up:

1702-SCSI Cable error detected, System board
System halted

This is happening when we plug an external DLT drive into the server. We've tried several different tape drives, and several different cables. There doesn't seem to be any problems with the drives or cables we're using as they work on other machines. Has anyone had any problems like this? And has any one had mother board problems with these servers?

Re: SCSI Cable Error on boot up

Do you have anything on the internal scsi port 1, or are your hard drive on an array controller? If you are using the internal scsi port 1, move it over to port 2, if not, disconnect the cable that is on port 1. I've noticed that if you use the external scsi port 1, nothing can be on internal scsi port 1.
