Re: Smart Array 4200 instead of 4250ES

How about an HP Smart Array 6400 SCSI Controller 309520-001 128MB in an ML750?

Thanks Robert

Re: Smart Array 4200 instead of 4250ES

Please refer to the quickspecs of the server for compatible components:-
https://www.hpe.com/psnow/doc/c04282311

If any component is not listed in the specs means that they have not been tested.

Re: Smart Array 4200 instead of 4250ES

But that does not mean it won't work, correct? I figured 4200 was part of family to which 4250 belonged.

True or not?

Thanks

Re: Smart Array 4200 instead of 4250ES

Either Quick Specs or User manual says 3200 and 4200 Ok.

Re: Smart Array 4200 instead of 4250ES

If the component is not listed in quickspecs means that it has not been tested. Meaning it may or may not work or even if installed could cause some other issue which we dont know as its not been tested. Hence we recommend the components that is listed in the quickspecs.
