SSD Unsupported for raid configuration

Hi guys
I have dl380 g9 server with raid controller p440ar i bought a samsung enterprise ssd 7.8 tb no in raid controller show unsupported for raid configuration so what is problem?

Hi,

the hard drive is not an original HPE part, I suppose.
Do you then simply build into the HPE hot-plug frame itself?

Don't use non-HP disks in HP Gen8 and Gen9 servers. It never works well, and you'll inevitably run into problems.

RAID arrays have been used for more than 40 years to increase the performance of hard disk drive  storage systems. But a single solid state drive  RAID array can offer performance which is comparable to many HDD RAID arrays.
