System ROM for DL365/385 missing from SPP 2024.09.00.00

I noticed there was no new System ROM included in the gen11.2024.09.00.00 SPP for DL365/DL385. I see when manually checking there are newer versions available.

Is this ommision by design or an oversight?

It appears to be an oversight that the System ROM for the DL365/DL385 was not included in the SPP 2024.09.00.00 package, given that newer versions of the ROM are available when checked manually. Occasionally, updates may be delayed or omitted from SPP releases due to testing, validation, or packaging issues.

I would suggest you to check the release notes and additionally, you can manually apply the latest ROM update in the meantime to ensure the system has the newest firmware.

Yes, Latest BIOS for - "HPE ProLiant DL365/DL385 Gen11"  (A55) is not included in September SPP.
you may download and install the standalone BIOS. - Version 1.70_09-05-2024

All I've seen on the thread is general speculation as to why sometimes packages are missing and an obvious workaround to manually deploy that component. I haven't seen any real explanation as to the reason for the omission so no, not marking this as resolved yet.

Continue to monitor for future updates or an official response from HPE would be wise, particularly if you're looking for assurance about the inclusion in future SPP releases. You could also consider opening a support case with HPE for a more specific investigation.
