I have a Proliant ML350 G3 with the Unit ID LED in blue. What is the function of the Unit ID button?

Solution
The Unit ID button is used to determine which server you are servicing when there are many in the rack. It is easy to mix up servers when you are moving from the front of the server rack to the back and there are 6 servers (or more) stacked directly on top of each other. The Unit ID light makes sure you unplug (or whatever) the correct server. Also, it can be activated to let someone else know which server you want worked on.
Additionally, it blinks when someone is logged in through iLO.
