update memory on ML350 g6

Hi, I have a server ML350 g6 2cpu with all the slots occupied with 4096 each. I would like to update de memory until 96 gb. and the question is which is the better way to update without losting the memory that we have.

It depends on processors model. Which model do you have installed. What is your preference - max performance or lowest cost?

18 DIMM slots total with 4GB in each. To keep the most of 4 GB modules.

(18-X)8GB + 4GBX = 96

X=12

6 x 8GB and 12 x 4GB = 96GB.
