Updating iLo4 from version 1.30 to version 2.82

Dear friends,

I have a ProLiant BL460c Gen8 and its iLo is on version 1.30. I'd like to update it to the latest version 2.8.2.

My doubt is, can I do it directly via iLo GUI?

Hi,

From iLO 4 GUI yes you can do it, but you need to extract .BIN file from the EXE file.
Please see the Prerequisites and "Install the firmware using one of these options".

You can update the iLO firmware using iLO GUI.

Please refer to the link to download the latest iLO version 2.82 and follow the steps mentioned in the 'Installation Instruction' tab.

Thanks, do I need an intermediate version or is it okay to update directly to 2.8.2?

Hi,

For iLO firmware I dont see any Prerequisites asking for minimum FW version before updating to 2.x

But for OA there are Prerequisites.
For OAs with firmware version less than 3.50, first update to OA 3.50 and then continue updating to OA 4.50 or above
