VMware ESX interrupted after passthrough the HP P212 SAS HBA card.

hi Guys,

I have a DL380 G7 with one P212 SAS HBA connect to the Tape Library.

The RAID was created on the embeded Raid Controller P410i that means the P212 will be only use for the Tape Library.

I'm using the VMDirectPath to passthrough the P212 SAS HBA, then add it to a VM for dedicated backup.

But when I try to start up the VM the ESX server showed the error hereunder and interrupted at once.

NMI:2540:LINT1 motherboard interrupt (XX forwarded)

Have you any ideas?

This error might be caused by faulty hardware - systemboard, cpu , PCI devices.

Please try following before replacing any parts.

Please update FW , BIOS , drivers. Please remove the PCI cards and check , if the issue remains.
