Changing PW on PPA db
Have a customer that changed the password on the ppa_db_v2. Under the ODBC connection for the db they changed the password, because it was using the SA account without any password. Now when they try to access PPA they get the following error:
In administration part of PPA (performance Analyzer) gets error BNSgris MS [ODBC SQL] [ Server Driver] [sql svr login failed for user sa]
My question is this. How do we get the application and the db back in sync. I know that if this happens for the IM console the following IQ article is one of the fixes iQ-15533. Does anyone know if we have something similiar for the PPA db.
Thanks

Re: Changing PW on PPA db
Do I understand correctly that you changed only the information in the ODBC connector? That would mean that it now is trying to use the password you supplied, but if the MSDE database wasn't given a password, it will of course fail.
Assigning a password to an existing MSDE database is documented in the KB article at http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=322336

Re: Changing PW on PPA db
We understand why it is failing. What we need help on is getting the password supplied in the PPA application to be the same as what we have for the PPA db. Hopefully that makes sense. Please let me know if I can add more details. Thanks.
