Re: Flood of Alerts
Same problem here, but with SP 2.2. HP support told us to recreate all eMail tasks. Well, we prefered to configure the event queries to retain only the messages newer than 2 days. This will limit the amount of re-sent emails. But any help on this issue is welcomed.

Re: Flood of Alerts
Then you never get alarms over old events.

Re: Flood of Alerts
Problem solved. there was a daily task to stop and restart SQL to free memory which is constantly growing. But this task did not stop IM7 tasks before. When restarting SQL, IM7 was resending all previously sent messages.
Now the task stop im7 and sql in order then restart sql and im7. No more problems since this change.

Re: Flood of Alerts
Does IM only resend alerts that are still uncleared in it's database or does it send both uncleared and cleared?
The reason I ask is because of a large number of NT4 servers that we have and the last download for that OS is v5.50 which would appear to have this bug still in it.
Thanks for any information,
Andrew
