IM 7 SP2 and Network Utilization Problems

This is a strange one. I have seen increasd CPU utilization on one of my Netware 5.1 servers which has not got any IM Agents installed and increased activity on my network, to the point of lost connections to servers and the Netware server falling over.

The only change being teh installation of IM7 on a stanalone machine.

Has anyone heard of Network Problems associated with IM7 polling?

based on the frequency at which IM7 does it's polling, It is almost impossible to overwhelm your network. Your lost in connection may be due to high CPU utilization in which case the NIC is dropping packets because of interrupt latency.I would definitely check the IM7 process that is running and make sure it is not at a hung state or a hung query is running in the background.
