PPA Installation
Several months ago we installed IM7SP2 with PPA. Shortly thereafter, we had to rename the server which caused a bunch of problems, as you can imagine. I was able to get IM7 working just fine, but we didn't have a need for PPA, so I didn't look at it. Recently I've been trying to get PPA working and there seems to be a problem that I think is related to the server being renamed.
When installing from the IM7SP2 CD, I get this error during the database configuration step: [Microsoft][ODBC SQL Server Driver][DBNETLIB]SQL server does not exist or access denied.
When I look in ODBC, the System DSN for PPA_DB_V2 has the old server name listed on the "Which SQL Server do you want to connect to?" dropdown. I can change to the correct name, but I still get the same result. (When I look in PPA on IM it says "No Servers Found".)
I have tried to install PPA 2.0.3 but when doing so get the following: "Failed to communicate with the database server. Aborting the installation."
If I go back to ODBC, it shows the incorrect server name again. Does anyone have any idea where it is getting the incorrect name from? I've checked the registry and haven't found anything there except the entry for the DSN which I've tried renaming or deleting.
Thanks in advance!

Re: PPA Installation
I actually found this one myself. The old computer name is contained in the database.props and globalsettings.props files in \program files\hp\insight manager 7 SP2\config folder.

Re: PPA Installation
Hello.
Where did you do your changes ??
I am trying to move both the IM7 and the PPA database to a new SQL server.
I've got IM7 up and running, but I am working on PPA.
What should be changed ??
