Version control - IM7SP2
I can browse the current and latest versions of software and firmware on my Netware servers ok. However, if I try and update them, I'm informed "No components exist in the repository". How do I load it?
Also, my VCDB is out of date ( 6.20A, 25-Feb-2003 ). When I hit the update button, it doesn't even appear to attempt to contact the internet (according to my firewall logs), but it reports 'An error occurred updating VCDB. No contents file, possible proxy configuration problem'.

Re: Version control - IM7SP2
Two things, I just retried updating our VCDB and it reported that no update was required, I'm on the same VCDB as you.
But your error message would indicate that there is a configuration problem with your set up.
If you go and check that the proxy details are still correct, have you changed passwords on the account being used for the proxy and not updated the IM Settings?
Can you connect to the VC Agent Web Page? if so can you push the update from there?

Re: Version control - IM7SP2
I suspected that the database was upto date. I'm sure that it isn't a config problem with the proxy. I can also go direct to the internet, but that doesn't work either.
How do I connect to the VC Agent web page? I can view what needs to be updated ('Compaq System Configuration') by hitting 'Legacy Version Control' on the main page for the device from within IM, but that only shows me - it won't allow me to push the update.

Re: Version control - IM7SP2
I had trouble updating my VCDB with a similar error. We don't have a proxy, however we do have Web Inspector before our firewall. Anyways, I made sure i was logged into web inspector first, but still couldn't do update.
Turns out, if I had another browser window up and browsing to web sites on the internet, and then ran the update, it worked fine. Dunno why.
