HPiLOCmdlet iLO connection error
Hi,
Am trying to connect to HP iLO uisng powershell cmdlets and keep getting this error message "The request was aborted: Could not create SSL/TLS secure channel.". I am using 1.5.0.1 HPiLOCmdlets version which can be used to manage/configure HPE Proliant Gen7/8/9 servers. Don't know if this is the right version to use against HP iLO 2 on HP ProLiant ML350 G6 server which I am trying to connect to. I have used the -DisableCertificationAuthentication switch without success.
Any ideas?
thanks

Re: HPiLOCmdlet iLO connection error
Hi,
As far as I know, G5 and G6 servers had iLO 2.
G7 and Gen8 had iLO 3.
Gen9 iLO 4 and Gen10 iLO 5.
Scripting Tools for Windows PowerShell (x64): iLO cmdlets
Supported Devices and Features:
Scripting Tools for Windows PowerShell : iLO cmdlets supports iLO 3 and iLO 4 devices.
iLO Cmdlets provide a set of utilities that allow users to configure and manage iLO on HPE ProLiant Gen7, Gen8 or Gen9 servers.
Thank You!
I work with HPE but opinions expressed here are mine.

Re: HPiLOCmdlet iLO connection error
Many thanks for your reply. So ok how will I be able to connect to older HP iLO 2 using powershell cmdlets ? Does HPE provide any cmdlets for that to allow me to connect to HP Proliant ML350 G6? I am trying to automate powering server back up using MS Orchestrator runbook.

Re: HPiLOCmdlet iLO connection error
Managed to get access to the doc now. The iLO already had a cert installed and valid. However I still get the error related to SSL connection. Any ideas ?

Re: HPiLOCmdlet iLO connection error
Managed to apply a new certificate and still get the same issue about 'unable to establish a SSL connection'. Any help please ? Ran out of ideas.
