Unable to determine Booterror on Proxmox | Get Bootlog via ILO?
Hello,
I need to switch operating systems. I added another harddrive (SSD) to my server and installed proxmox.
Everything worked fine but it immediatly jumped to the old os in my boot options.
It seems that there is a very short appearance of the error message from proxmox but i can´t figure out how to tell the server to show me this message as it immediatly jumps to secound boot option.
I am unable to find some bios option like "halt on errors" or sth.
I deleted all other boot options but then the message appears and he jumps back to bios post saying "no bootable os found" or sth. like that.
I already searched some kind of startup log in ILO(4) but i am unable to find.
Can you help me?
Physical access to server is available.
greetings

Re: Unable to determine Booterror on Proxmox | Get Bootlog via ILO?
Hello,
Please refer to section "POST F1 Prompt" on page 82 of the "HP ROM-Based Setup Utility User Guide" and configure it so as for the message to be displayed and you may press "F1" to proceed.

Betreff: Query: Unable to determine Booterror on Proxmox | Get Bootlog via ILO?
@TVVJ That solution is unlucky not working
This Bios post option is already enabled "halt with a delay". But i still don´t see the proxmox error. I am quite sure it´s a proxmox startup error, but in some way bios can recognize it otherwise it wouldn´t switch to the secondary boot option.
Server is ML 30 Gen 9. Absolutely perfect working with my old OS.
I will try to boot a Live Linux and access the proxmox harddrive externaly to get the syslogs. I was just hoping there is an easier way.
Greetings.
