Unable to login iLO after last SPP update 2024.11.00.00 - DL380 Gen10

Hi all,

After applying an update with last SPP 2024.11.00.00 (22 nov. 2024) that includes iLO 3.09 we can't login iLO management. We are seeing this message that did'nt appear before "This system is being managed by HPE OneView". How to restore access to iLO?

Regards,

Re: Unable to login iLO after last SPP update 2024.11.00.00 - DL380 Gen10

Hi @jtejada ,

If HPE OneView manages the iLO, the iLO login screen displays the following warning:

Warning: This system is being managed by: HPE OneView.

Changes made locally in iLO will be out of sync with the centralized settings and could affect the behaviour of the remote management system.

If you want to login to iLO, Please follow this below procedure:

1) Login to HPE OneView
2) Go to server Hardware section under servers
3) In the server Hardware page, You will find the IP address or Host name under Management processor section.
4) please click on that host name or IP address to login to iLO. HPE OneView attempts to connect to the iLO web UI (using that host name or address) and automatically signs you in.

When a server is claimed by HPE OneView to monitor or manage a server, the iLO is NOT locked and any existing local user account can log into the iLO.  If you do not know a local iLO account, then the advice to log into HPE OneView first is correct.  As it provides an SSO solution without needing to know a local iLO account credential.
