I am setting up second W2K domain in my network. Can my CIM7 server in the first domain discovery servers in the new domain? Are there any special steps or settings involved?

Greetings. Yes IM7 can in reality go anywhere on your network independent on domains etc. As long as certain UDP Ports are not being blocked like (in a firewall etc) and you snmp community settings are correct it should be good for you to use.
The only item that may affect IM7 is when you try to "add" domain level accounts for IM7 access and use and the domain in question is not trusted or 1 way trusted, that domain account not be able to be used to authenticate and logon to IM7.
We use Domain level accounts without issues as well as monitoring servers across about 10-15 domains and regions throuoghout the world (India, Japan, China, Europe) from California without issue.
