I have just built a HP SIM server and over the weekend it has been dicovering devices, I now have the problem where by I don't seem to be able to delete\clear the Informational events.
There are 238,612 events, when I try to view them and delete\clear, after a while the screen displays 'No entries currently......'
Can anyone help please?

Solution
Hello
I have the same problem on one of our customer wich have over a million inf. events.
First uncheck options accept inf. events under Options\Event\Event Filter Settings
Here is couple of options:
(Problem is that HPSIM can not display so many events in list).
- the quickest way is to delete all servers (with that you also delet all events) and rediscover
- on overview page clik on the number, if events was displayed (can take several minute to display) select all and click delet. This options not shure if the number of events are high. Try it.
- Create custom event list where use "event time" criteria to build list (use short time interval for ex.: day, 2day or week). when the list was displayed select all events and delete. Repeat this until the number of events was about 1000. Then use options 2 and try to delete other events.
Good luck
Ivan

Re: Clearing Events in HPSIM
Thanks, although the events seemed to disappear after 24 hours.
Strange
Thanks for your quick response anyway.
