Client is running cygwin

I have a server that I want to manage that is running cygwin. How can I install openssh on it so that I can manage it?

Is the Server a Windows Server?

You can install the latest OpenSSH from the VCRM. I don't see what cygwin has to do with this unless you're thinking of building OpenSSH from Source.

Re: Client is running cygwin

The documentation on OpenSSH on Windows states that it is built on CYGWIN and there may only be one instance of CYGWIN on a Windows server, i.e. if another app. makes use of another version of CYGWIN I assume there is no way to install the HP OpenSSH version except if you can remove the other instance, which imo would be at risk of breaking the other app. At least unless there's some as yet undocumented workaround.

OpenSSH is NOT required on any station except the central management server running HP SIM to manage systems. Deploying OpenSSH on your systems only adds the distributed task capability for HP SIM to run jobs on the remote system.

OpenSSH on the CMS is used to duplicate the functionality of 'Application Launch' in IM7 and includes some tasks such as 'Initial PSP Install...'
