						Hi,
We are using a custom tool to monitor linux servers. tool is run every night. Sometimes it hangs and stays in the "running" state for ever.
The problem is that SIM will run the tool next night regardless the state of previous run. is there an option to make SIM kill hanged tool automatically or make it so that it will not start another session before previous one has stopped ?

Not HP SIM specific but general:
u can store ur exit status in a file and before running tool just check status of previous tool from that file. If it over run again otherwise no? Will it solve ur purpose?

Eventually the script has evolved to be more intelligent to kill itself if hang.
