How to install CIM Agents - HELP!

How in the hell do you install the CIM agents now, They have all these versions it is ridiculous.

Back in the day you would install the CIM Agents after downloading the CIM agents as a group in like v4.30.

Now the agents appear to be in the PSP/NSSD (Server Support Pack) and at the same time there are the 4 main agents you can download individually and install.

Do I need to install the old CIM Agents and then the new PSP or what? I cant tell! If I just install the PSP will I get all the CIM agents installed and working? Who knows?

Please let me know the right way to do this now so I can get the agents on the server. I would like to use the v7.00 agents but not sure how to get them started.

Thnaks,
Greg

You can download all the agents in one step at http://h18007.www1.hp.com/support/files/server/us/download/18538.html.

Re: How to install CIM Agents - HELP!

Sorry but I should have mentioned I was talking about Netware. I cant find a CIM install bundle after 4.90 unlike Windows which is current.

Now you can grab 4 different agents from the download page or you can install the same agents via the Netware PSP but the older CIM package had many more agents than just these 4.

Thanks,
Greg

Re: How to install CIM Agents - HELP!

The ProLiant Support Pack is designed to eliminate the guesswork and it contains everything you need. There are no dependencies outside of the PSP.

There has been some consolidation in the executables that make up the agents; that may account for what you term as "missing" agents.
