HP SIM and SNMP WALK
In the past I have used HP Openview 6.1 to be able to "poll" or "walk" a node with an SNMP MIB via the MIB Browser function in HPOV. No problems. I am currently evaluating HP SIM 7.1 on Windows XP,have compiled and registered some MIBS as per MXMIB and Mcompile functions, but cannot find any function within HP SIM to allow me to poll (Get request) the nodes using the MIBS that I have compiled and registered. Does HP SIM have this SNMP MIB Browser function like HPOV or not? Any assistance on this would be appreciated. Thank you.

Re: HP SIM and SNMP WALK
uhm.. i think no...
I have create some script that poll with snmpwalk and send some personal trap to sim when there is an error.

Re: HP SIM and SNMP WALK
What type of systems are you managing? HP ProLiant servers with Insight agents have a status array variable that is polled by hpSIM and is able to give indications of good, degraded or critical. On non-ProLiant systems, a simple up/down indication is given from an SNMP poll.
