Inplace migration from CIM7 to SIM4.1, SIM server not displayed

I've just done an in-place migration and re-activated all tasks. For some reason the new SIM server is not displayed in any lists? All my other managed servers are displayed. I tried deleting the HostGuid entry in Regedit and rebooted the SIM server, still no SIM server.

Try unchecking the Use Filters in the Auto-Discovery. Perhaps it's not recognising itself. Possibly an SNMP issue?

Do you have your SIM user authorized for the CMS?

Is there a "system discovered" event for the CMS?

Thanks Joel, I was using an ID that didn't have CMS authorization, a new feature I wasn't aware of.

I faced the same problem !
Here my questions :
1) What is CMS ?
2) If I do a manual discover and type
in the host-name, eg. aszen06, the
system answers with :
"A system already exists with the name
you provided. Please use a unique name"
... but the system isn´t listed in the
"All systems tabel". The discovery filter
was disabled.
3) I´m not using a HP-Server for SIM and
VCRM, it´s a Fujitsu/Siemens with a
Support-Pack 7.1 Installation.

Under Security>Users and Authorizations, under the Authorization Tab make sure the ID you are using has CMS access. If not click the new button and add CMS to the ID you are using, this will then display your SIM4.1 server.
