I am having problems with ICE, installing on HP SIM 5.2. I installed it, but had some problems, so I've had to uninstall ICE, and it came up with an error message that says "Failed to Uninstall". Yet, I can't find anywhere to uninstall it again, as there is nothing in Add/Remove Programs or in Start/Programs/HP. Then, when I try to reininstall ICE, it says that the ICE manager is already installed.
Does anyone know how i can remove it from the server so that I can do a clean install?

So, under Add/Remove, you do not see an entry for HP Insight Control Environment Advisor?
On a newly-installed system, I do have that entry.


On my system, these registry keys appear to be associated with ICE

HKLM\\SOFTWARE\Hewlett-Packard\HP ICE Advisor

HKLM\\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows
\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\{937D1C12-A26D-4310-A1CC-D61F549E53CB}

If you have these keys, then it's not a surpise that some component thinks that ICE is still installed.

For the best advice, however, I'd log a support call.

I had to go through the registry, and delete all keys relating to VPM and to Insight Control, and then I was able to reinstall the application
