Hi, we have quite a bit of NetWare 5.x servers in our firm. I have added all of them to our HPSIM for monitoring. However, I can't get them to display with server's name. I worked on the HPSIM host file w/ no success. Any ideas?

Re: Listing server's by host name instead of IP address
I've not used the Hosts file, but HPSIM uses DNS and it needs both Forward and Reverse Entries to resolve correctly before it will display the name in HPSIM.
Perhaps you're only resolving one way.

Re: Listing server's by host name instead of IP address
I don't know why using the HP SIM host file didn't help. I checked that I was using proper syntax. Anyway, I got it to work by simply entering info on the Windows host file. Quite tedious, yet it worked, I am a happy camper once again. So simple I can't believe I didn't think of it earlier. Thanks!!!
