Monitoring a Service
Can i Monitor a specific service from Sim? if so how would i go about setting that up? i have sim version 4.0
any help is apriciated.

Hello
Control Panel, open HP Managament Agents, tab Process Monitor:
Select servis wich you want to monitor and select monitor options for that servis. If you want you can add new process: click Add enter the name of process and click enter.

ok, i got that part down ok, but how do i go about monitoring it on the central management server? i have been clicking through all the conditions and i havent found what i am looking for...

ok, for example under Process Monitor select cmd and for Monitor options select Start&stop. Then open an cmd window. Under All Events in HP SIM you receiv an Major Event with type of Process monitor event trap wich report that servis is started.
