I apologize if this is really daft question, but I have installed SIM 4 on to one server, configured the discovery so I can connect to all my servers. When I try to connect to any server through any of the links such as 'system management homepage' on the System page, I would expect it to take me to the server I selected. Instead it asks me for account logon information. In the user section there is a choice if administrator, operator and user. Can someone explain where these users are (as I used the domain admin account to connect to SIM). Do I need to set anything up for authentication? I was kind of expecting domain authentication as opposed to this list of 3 options. I appreciate any comments you have.
Regards
Jeff

Solution
The 3 accounts are configured in the agents themselves. If you have downloaded a softpaq anywhere, run setup.exe to fire up the Remote Deployment Utility. Once the components are listed you can see the items that are configurable in the left hand panel.
The password file is on C:\compaq\wbem\cpqhmmd.acl and can be copied from a working Server to one that isn't
To go directly to a Server you need to configure the trust between the IM Server and Agent. Again this is a configurable component in the Agent.
A common way is under the Agent Settings to use Trust by Certificate, and then use the Agent to import the Certificate from the IM Server.
All of the above can then be pushed to other Servers using the Configure / replicate agent settings from HPSIM once you've set up a working server.
