I changed the Computer Name and the Domain of one ADC to join a new Domain. The SIM and the SQL Server are running on this Server.
I changed the configuration of the SIM following the Documentation "Changing the HP Systems Insight Manager 4.2 System Name", but now I can't login on the Systems Mananager Homepage. I got the error Message: incorrect login. The SIM is still working and sends me emails for the configured events.
I try to Acess the SIM via the commandline interface and got the following error:
The name "DOMAINNAME\Administrator" does not represent a user in this system.
Do you have any Ideas to change this behaivior?
I need to login to the SIM.
Best Regards
Marcos

SolutionOpen Enterprise Manager and access your SIM database.
Find the table 'hpmxUser'
Open the table and check and see if the users that you expect to see inside there are there.
I'd edit an existing one to have an account from the new domain listed and then try and login with that account from there.
As always backup your database before you do anything to it, I'm not responsible if you mess it up.
But that is the only place that I think that it stores who is defined as a user in SIM, so thats where I'd at least start.

Re: Problems after changen Computer Name and Domain of SIM Server
thank you for your reply. I found the error in the hpmxuser Table. The Domainname of the Administrator Account wasn't changed. I corrected it and now it works. :-)
Thank you very much!!!
