Problems login in with hpsmh 2.1.5 under SLES9
Hi,
I recently installed PSP 7.5.2 with hpsmh-2.1.5-146 under SLES9 SP2. When I try to login I get the message "Login failed".
In /var/log/messages I find
pam_access[13328]: couldn't get the tty name
So I changed /etc/security/access.conf to +:ALL:ALL and got the same result.
In the smh.log I find
User:root from xx.xx.xx.xx was DENIED access to System Management Homepage
The error_log and access_log don't give a hint either.
Anyone knows this problem by chance?
Thanks in advance
Alexander

When I install hpsmh-2.1.0-118 everythings works perfect. Seems to be a problem of newer versions.

Try the new PSP 7.60 for SLES9:
ftp://ftp.compaq.com/pub/products/servers/supportsoftware/ZIP/psp-7.60.sles9.linux.en.tar.gz
ftp://ftp.compaq.com/pub/products/servers/supportsoftware/ZIP/psp-7.60.sles9.linux.en.tar.gz
