Prompted for password twice on login
I do not receive an error message after the first login attempt. The login screen simply reloads and appears as if I had never tried to log in.
If I type incorrect login credentials on either attempt, I do receive appropriate error messages.
I am encountering this message in Firefox 1.0PR. I do not have the problem on the same computer with Internet Explorer. Mine is the only computer here with Firefox so I cannot test that.
Waiting for several minutes after the Java applets load does not seem to make a difference.
A forums search has not turned up anything related to this problem. Anything else I should try?
Thanks,
Terry

Re: Prompted for password twice on login
I've got Mozilla Firefox 1.0 PR here and it does not show this behaviour.
You might want to check the version of the JRE you're using. I've updated mine to 1.4.2_06.
I have seen a couple of other issues with Firefox though. It will not display the Memory Page or the PMP Graphs.

Re: Prompted for password twice on login
Maybe 1.4.2_06 has been withdrawn for some reason. Go for 1.4.2_05, I'm not too sure of the changes between the two, but that also worked fine for me.

Re: Prompted for password twice on login
See:
http://java.sun.com/j2se/1.4.2/download.html
This offers 1.4.2_06. Not sure why the main Java site doesn't.

Re: Prompted for password twice on login
I have only seen this occur when you launch the SIM GUI from
https://simserver:50000.
Try to launch the GUI using
http://simserver:280
Thanks to Joel Rubenstein for this solution. Thank you also Rob for your efforts. Although you were not ultimately able to find the solution, I genuinely appreciate your efforts.
