SIM5.0 and EVA SMI-S Not Working
Hi there,
I got some troubles with the integration of EVA SMI-S into SIM5.0.
SIM5.0 is installed on a HP ProLiant DL380G4 Storage Server (Manager).
HSV: EVA4000 5.030
OS: Windows Server 2003 SP1
Command View EVA: 4.1.1.3
EVA SMI-S: 4.1.1.6
SIM: C.05.00.00
Pegasus WMI Mapper: 2.1.1.0
SNMP settings
community: private
Accepted community names:
public = READ ONLY
SIM - Global Protocol Settings - Default WBEM settings
(checked) Enable WBEM
Default 1: User name=administrator Password:administrator
Default 2: User name=Administrator Password:Administrator
SIM - Global Protocol Settings - Default SNMP settings
(checked) Enable SNMP
Default write community string: private
Read community string:
Default 1: public
SIM - Global Protocol Settings - Default DMI settings
(checked) Enable DMI
On the System Page (inside SIM) from the server Manager the items Host Bus Adapters and LUNs are empty. There is a option to Collect Data. When I try this option the following error occurred.
"An error occurred connecting to this system with the WBEM protocol. Check the system configuration."
Register of WBEM event does not work either.
SIM->options->Events->Subscribe to WBEM Events->Manager
------------------------------------------
Create Subscriptions for:
Manager.xxxxx.nl
FAILED to create indication subscription.
No valid path to talk to CIMOM for Manager
------------------------------------------
I did attached some output from UserAccountsManager and wbemdisco....see attached file
What are we missing????

Re: SIM5.0 and EVA SMI-S Not Working
test it with port 5988. That's the std port for non SSL Connections.

Re: SIM5.0 and EVA SMI-S Not Working
After re-installing SIM the 'connection' between SIM and EVA SMI-S worked.
Only the health status of the HSV200 is still 'unknown'. I do also receive no traps from Command View EVA.

Re: SIM5.0 and EVA SMI-S Not Working
I have a similar problem.
When I try to register in SIM an HPUX 11.11 with the wbem subscription, the message is the same:
Register of WBEM event does not work either.
SIM->options->Events->Subscribe to WBEM Events->Manager
------------------------------------------
Create Subscriptions for:
bitdb01.xxxx.com
FAILED to create indication subscription.
No valid path to talk to CIMOM for Manager
------------------------------------------
If I choose the server and
SIM->TOOLS->SYSTEM INFORMATION->PROPERTIES
View WBEM Properties on remote target system
The result is:
Property Pages are unavailable because this system acts as a WBEM storage proxy
What are we missing????
